Too Soon for Christmas Ornaments?

I know it's June but with all of the goings on of 2020 I'm trying to look ahead to more uplifting times.  What is more uplifting than crafting ornaments for the tree.

This is a very simple decoration that can be made from items you're sure to have in your craft & sewing box.

Easy to do / one hour time commitment.

You will need -

1 binder ring (I used a 2".  Any color will work)
Vintage book pages
Gold ribbon & rickrack
Small gold beads or embellishments

Firstly, tear up several pages from your book into small strips pieces around 3/4" wide.  Concertina fold each strip back and forth creating a square stack.

You will need several of these so keep folding!

Using an awl or small hole punch, make a hole at the center of each concertina stack and begin threading them on to the jump ring.  Be sure to thread them on snugly.

Decorate with a small gold ribbon bow and glue on a handful of small gold beads in random spots.

Hang with a simple gold rikrak loop!
